Metric - Gold Gun Girls (acoustic)

This is my new favorite song of the moment.
I love her voice… soothing to the soul.

RT @cshirky You can take…a creative process and turn it into a manufacturing process. Great piece on Demand Media http://bit.ly/1SuFJQ #fb

Jaymay's Gray or Blue Will Haunt Your Soul

Every once in a while I hear a song at Starbucks or on the radio, and I have to actually ask the barista the name of it, or wait for the radio announcer to say who was playing (if ever).
This happened to me today with Jaymay’s Gray or Blue.

It moved me so much I asked the barista for a pen & went and pounded out some lyrics of my own.

Jose Gonzalez - Heartbeats (mp3)

I alternate back and forth between preferring this version & The Knife’s original.

Kid Cudi - The Prayer

To me, this is the song that launched Kid Cudi. While “Day ‘N Night” gets old after a few listens, The Prayer lives on in its timelessness.

This is the Cudi that I grew to know and love. The one I would be glad to have a beer with after a show. (last thing you will hear won’t be about some apple-bottom jeans and some furs, yet we hear him rap about only if you bring a friend on some of his other tracks)
I’m not hatin’ on the dude. Of course your style, message & rhymes will change over time. My message to Cudi: if you desert us, and go the way of The Kanye, honestly… I don’t want to hear about you poppin’ bottles of cristal with blonde models. Your struggles, from the heart, is what attracted me to your music in the first place.
